Busy Weekend

We had a lot of activities planned this weekend and took Calvin along with us to everyone.  We could have gotten a sitter for one of the evenings, but all of our events were family friendly and we decided to take advantage of Calvin's relative portability.

Thursday night we went to a free concert downtown.  Despite what you may have seen on Facebook, Calvin had a great time - translated as he slept during the show.

Then on Friday night we took him to his first hockey game.  This didn't go as well since I was sitting.  Calvin doesn't like sitting.  I also think all of the lights and noise were a bit too stimulating after he got tired, but before he got cranky he liked watching the guys skate back and forth.

and the fun didn't stop there.  We insisted on taking the little guy out for a few SXSW days shows on Saturday.  The weather was perfect and a fun time was had by all after I got a little food.

Sunday we rested like god intended.  Calvin went to bed late every night and got up late every morning and went back on schedule last night with little difficulty.  More on sleeping in a different post.  

I like that we were able to incorporate Calvin into our lives instead of being ruled by his.  We don't leave the house often (we're hermits you know), but it's nice to know that we can if we want.  We just need to take along a little more gear than usual.
